Accredited work is performed only for measurements and ranges listed on the current Scope of Accreditation. Where applicable, calibration records provide measurement traceability to recognized standards, including NIST. How to Send Equipment to ED&D for Calibration
1. Request a Quote & RMA
Contact ED&D before shipping. A client support specialist will review the request and issue return instructions.
2. Define the Requirement
Provide make, model, serial number, ranges, required points, certificate needs, due date, and applicable procedure or standard.
3. Ship the Complete System
Follow the RMA instructions and include required probes, fixtures, cables, adapters, power supplies, and accessories.
4. Incoming Evaluation
ED&D confirms equipment condition, requested service, capability, scope status, and any issues that affect calibration.
5. Calibration & Documentation
Authorized work is completed and the applicable certificate, results, and service records are prepared.
6. Return to Service
Equipment and documentation are returned for use in your laboratory. Calibration-due notifications are available.
Before shipping: do not send equipment without an RMA or service instructions. If the equipment has been exposed to hazardous, biological, chemical, or radioactive materials, disclose that information and provide required decontamination documentation before shipment.
